God is good!

Thanks Sharon S. and Bev for your encouraging comment to yesterday's posting. I am so thankful that I can go to God daily for "re-fueling". He is the ONLY way that any of this has been possible and I know that He will continue to be faithful. In everything we will show them the love of Christ as we will try to impress upon them His character. I also can't wait to take these children to church! There they will find a fellowship of believers that will embrace them. We are so blessed to live in America. Please never take this for granted.

Love,
Joy

I CAN ONLY IMAGINE HOW READY YOU ARE TO COME HOME. I KNOW HOW BORED I WAS FOR A WEEK IN THE HOTEL IN MOSCOW WHEN MIKE WAS SICK WITH A STOMACH VIRUS AND IT WAS TOO COLD TO VENTURE OUTSIDE. WE SENT A TON OF CLOTHES, FOR THE KIDS, HOME WITH BRYAN. AT LEAST THERE IS A LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL. NEXT WEEK WILL BE A BUSY WEEK FOR YOU AND THEN HOME THE FOLLOWING WEEK. YEAH! I'M SURE THE BOYS MUST BE SCARED ABOUT WHAT THE FUTURE HOLDS FOR THEM. THEIR LIVES ARE GETTING READY TO BE TURNED UPSIDE DOWN, EVEN IF IN A GOOD WAY. GOD WILL GUIDE YOU ALL THROUGH THE BUMPS AND YOU WILL COME OUT STRONGER AND WISER.

CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU ALL!

LOVE, THE GEORGES

We are praying for you everyday. I might not post everyday but you are all in our thoughts and prayers daily. It was great to be able to talk to Bryan on the phone the other day and know he is now close by. We look forward to having you all back home in Raleigh. I know you will need your space for a while but we want to visit as soon as you feel it's best. We Love You ALL. Tell Katelyn Molly is really missing her and wants to play Polly Pockets soon. Love, Todd, Deb, Madison, & Molly

Joy,

Don't be surprised if the kids are bored when you first start taking them to church. Ours were, but it seems to be getting better since they are seeing the same faces week after week. We have a couple youth that speak Russian and that has been a comfort to them. I would suggest getting a couple Russian Bibles (or parallel Bibles, but they are expensive). It will be a long time before the kids can read and understand English.

I'm learning to take one day at a time. Each day has new challenges, but new mercies as well. Try not to get overwhelmed.

Love, Sharon

Joy,
I'm sending you a good ole southern picnic under a shade tree in my mind. (With a very cool breeze!) I don't know what kinds of food you are having there but just imagine a bounty of all of your favorite treats waiting for you under that tree! Best of all, picture all of your children playing together nearby. The gift of FAMILY that you are giving and that is being given to you is what this is all about. Hold that in your heart when these inevitable moments of teenage angst, language barriers, and frustrations with development arise.
Love to you,
Stacy

Hi Joy and Katelyn,

I tried to call a few times but the line was busy. I will continue to try. Stay strong and know that we all love you and are thinking about you. Also know that whatever the future brings, your family will always be there for you. We all pray for you and the children daily. Take Care.

Love,

Leigh

Joy,

Julia, Jenna, Alex, Victor and Katelyn are fortunate to have a Godly mother like you. Your love for them brought you there so far from home and God will bring you home and give you stregnth and wisdom through all that lies ahead. I am proud of you and I love and miss you very much. July 12th is marked on my calender!

Love,
Gail
